About Us
TMA Engineering Ltd. was started in 1973 by Tim Albutt who asked Brett Rogers to partner him so they could provide a service to the power press industry, they were both working at Taylor & Challen Presses at the time.
TMA is one of the largest independant power press service and repair companies in the UK. We have about 30 employees which include machinists, fitters, welders and mechanical & electrical service engineers.
We can offer the complete package from a simple part to an automated press or complete production line, including inspections and maintenance.
Brett also had an interest in locomotives, and soon found that this fitted in well with the power press side of the business. TMA have designed and built new diesel & steam locomotives throughout the years and provide restoration and maintenance work on all types and sizes of loco's.
Matt Albutt, Tim's son started working for TMA in 1992 and is now running the business, TMA have aquired Taylor & Challen, CVA Dieing Presses and MM Power Presses.
